The opening of Royal Oud is sensational. Notes of black and pink peppercorns are scattered amongst the finest raw incense; elemi, frankincense and myrrh. This fiery quintet is cooled by the aromatic and uplifting tones of mastic resin, angelica galbanum and juniper oil, helping to solidify this statement opening. Citrus oils add freshness to this piquant blend, elegant and floral bergamot is contrasted with the cutting power of lemon oil. The opening of Royal Oud shifts between the daring and the compelling.
At the heart of Royal Oud we find a union of floral notes; a duo of exquisite roses flow amid the delicate tendrils of Tuberose and Orchid possessing both power and sensuality.
Royal Oud displays many wonderful elements throughout its journey. In our opinion the real joy is found within the base notes of Royal Oud. We find a foundation of opulent textures. Velvet slithers of guaiacwood amidst smouldering and dangerous birch wood. There is intrigue too, styrax resin, castoreum and musks resonate with oud oil producing a pleasing sweet-leather harmony which melds with the skin. This supple suede effect is dusted with tobacco leaf and vanilla. Noble woods of sandal and cedar leave us with a lasting impression.
