What's the difference between Elixirs and eau de toilette?
Some people think the only difference is the price, but of course the main difference between these two is the concentration of fragrance oils.
Elixirs contain the highest amount of oils - 20-30%.
Whereas Eau de toilette contains 5-15% fragrance oils.
This affects the strength and longevity of the scent. Elixirs are typically heavier and stronger than eau de toilette and last 5+ hours on the skin. The bottle of Elixir will last you much longer as normally you wouldn’t need to reapply fragrance throughout the day.
Eau de toilette, on the other hand, is a light fresh and more subtle fragrance. It fades away within a few hours, so you may need to reapply it a few times.
In the end, the choice between the two depends on personal preferences. Some people may prefer to wear eau de toilette for everyday wear and leave Elixir for special occasions.
