If you have a bunch of perfume oils lying around and you want to try something different, you can experiment with making them into sprays.
Here's what you'll need:
-
Perfumer’s alcohol
-
Perfume oil
-
An old perfume bottle or any spray bottle
-
A screw cap pump lid
-
A measuring jug
Think of this as your own personal experiment. You'll want to play around with different ratios to get the right balance that won't make the scent evaporate too quickly from your skin.
Try to aim for a consistency as close to water as possible.
Start with a 50-50 mix of perfume oil and alcohol, and add more alcohol to ‘water’ it down if needed.
Just be cautious that some ingredients might not be suitable for this. For example, jojoba oil can clog up your spray bottle because of how alcohol works with it.
So, take it slow, test it out in very small amounts first, and have fun getting creative with your own custom blends!
