Heat makes a scent sing, then shout. This week, I'm wearing nothing at all.
Hot weather is the best thing that can happen to a perfume.
Heat lifts a scent off the skin and carries it into the room. The intensity rises, the projection climbs, and everyone catches what you're wearing. Diffusers work harder in it. A candle won't even ask to be lit. On a day like this the warm air pulls the scent straight off the wax, no flame required.
So heat is a gift. Mostly.
There's a flip side, and we're sitting in it this week. When it gets this hot, scent stops projecting and starts shouting. A fragrance you love becomes too much, and one you don't turns into a punishment.
Normally I'd just go lighter, reach for something fresher. But today it's nothing. No oil, no spritz, nothing on the wrists, because today we're all just trying to survive.
So tell me. When the heat really lands, what's your go-to? Drop us a message on Instagram.
