It sounds crazy, but it’s true: perfume bottles can actually explode! I learned this the hard way.
Once, I left a 100ml bottle of perfume by the window on a hot, sunny day. When I got home in the evening, glass was everywhere, but at least the room smelled amazing for a month!
So, what went wrong?

Perfume bottles, especially those with pressurised sprays, can be sensitive to extreme temperatures. When it gets too hot, the liquid inside expands, putting pressure on the glass and causing leaks or even bursts. On the other hand, very cold temperatures can make the glass brittle and more likely to crack.

So, that’s why it is important to store your fragrances properly.
To keep your bottles safe, store them in a cool, dark place away from heat sources. Think closet shelves or a drawer in a temperature-stable room. Avoid places like windowsills, bathrooms or near radiators.

Keep your bottles in the right spots, and you won’t have to stress about glass breaking all over the place!
